As the Director of Global Sustainabilty for DuPont, Dawn Rittenhouse is an industry leader on the intersection between business and the environment. She is a tireless advocate for  advancing sustainable solutions and is a globally recognized speaker. As a key advisor and ambassador for DuPont, she guides its C-suite, businesses and customers on policy, and fosters relationships with NGOs and organizations around the world.

Dawn joined DuPont in 1980 and has held positions in Technical Service, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management within the Packaging and Industrial Polymers and Crop Protection businesses. In late 1997, she began working in the corporate organization to assist DuPont businesses with integration of sustainability strategies into their business plans and management processes.

She leads DuPont’s efforts at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), where DuPont is a founding member, and at the United Nations Global Compact.

She is a member of the Sustainability Council at Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and the Corporate Consultive Group Advisory Group of the World Resources Institute.  In addition, Dawn is on the Board of Trustees of the Nature Conservancy of Delaware and the Board of Directors of the Delaware Nature Society.

Dawn earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Duke University.

She lives in Wilmington, Delaware. In her free time, she enjoys sports photography and is a runner.
